PDF Counseling Research: A Practitioner-Scholar Approach with FREE EASY Reading!

This was required reading for my counseling research class. While I appreciated the effort that the authors made to make it personable (and even sometimes humorous), I found the bulk of the material hard to follow. If research is your thing, you will probably do better than I. Even though they did try and give a lot of examples, I still found them falling short and usually leaving me lost, especially when they started to throw out a lot of terms that weren't explained properly. I have taken statistics classes before, as well as an assessment in counseling class, and could follow those textbooks much better than this one. Even though I consider myself to have (much) better than average math skills, I also realize that I am only one reviewer, and maybe just couldn't get into the material as it didn't interest me so much (showing my potential bias as any proper researcher should). I also realize that (at least so far) I have the lowest rating of all of the other 19 ones out there. But I will also note that of all of the positive reviews, most were just curt one line sentences, or none at all. It is possible I am just an outlier, but it would be nice to get some other actual meaningful reviews to know for sure.
